On the trail of the Triglav fairy tales

On a lovely family outing along the trail of the Triglav fairy tales the young and the old alike will learn of the seven Triglav fairy tales all associated with a specific location or event.

You will find out whether the giant has awakened; whether the Pozgancev bridge is inhabited by the cursed; what really happened near the Mojstrana and Dovje church and about the hidden treasure at Grancisce. Not to forget the adventures of the little shepherd Gregec. At the end of the trail you can feast on delicious home-cooked food and enjoy a giant's biscuit.



The trail of the Triglav fairy tales follows the three books of fairy tales written by Mirko Kuncic entitled The Triglav fairy tales where the writer takes us into the life of our ancestors, which is full of mythical characters.

School children from Mojstrana have produced a booklet with the summarised version of these fairy tales, a description of characters, folk wisdom and vocabulary used a long time ago in the villages, but which have now been mostly forgotten. The children’s goal was to show what fairy tales mean to the young of today. The little booklet »Kjer cvetijo pravljice« (Where the fairy tales still flourish) may be purchased from the “Pr'Katr'” shop.
