Slovenian Alpine Museum - entrance fee

Biking trip

Each path is its own story. What will yours be like?

Enjoy the museum story that you will experience as you climb the mountains. Through eleven content sections you will pass the milestones of the Slovenian mountaineering, alpine, and mountain rescue history, get to know the impulse that has always drawn people to the mountains, and feel the unique attraction and the magic of the mountains.

The museum alpine trail is marked by Knafelc waymarks. On your way to the summit of the chosen mountain you can collect all the stamps through various experiences, interactive tasks, tests ... and receive a prize at the end.

  • meet the first helicopter in Slovenia used for mountain rescue operations,
  • make a stone cairn,
  • self-belay across a mountain ridge,
  • weigh a bundle,
  • enter a real bivouac and learn about mountaneering in the past
  • admire skis of Davo Karničar, first earthling, who skied from the top of Mount Everest
