Mlačca Gorge

Small, but idyllic!

The Mlačca Gorge is the most visited in winter, when a “live” nativity scene attracts a crowd of visitors. It is also well-known for its ice climbing and Humar’s Memorial.

The gorge can also be visited in summer. On foot you can reach it from Mojstrana if you first follow the footpath No. 16 towards the Peričnik Waterfall along the right bank of the Triglavska Bistrica River. At the last bridge, you continue on the right bank, leave the footpath and ascend into the woods.

After the tennis courts, the Mlačca Gorge starts with its almost 200 metres length and 45 metres height.
